Hello there,

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

The Joyce Marshall Academy of Performing Arts is S. Wales' fastest growing theatre education provider. Our unique balance between valuable performance experience and vital educational qualifications has been extremely popular. We believe in giving parents something concrete for their time and money, and enter pupils regularly for LAMDA drama and ABRSM singing exams, the higher grades of which count towards important UCAS points for University and College applications. We recently entered five juniors for LAMDA preparatory exams, scoring one distinction and four merits, and two seniors for Grade 2 exams.

Our innovative curriculum is designed to tackle the theoretical aspects of performance, aiming to develop "thinking" performers and not simply "doing" performers. Education is our specialty, and Academy Principal Emma Rowland is incredibly well qualified (she is currently working towards a PhD in Music!) We consult regularly with childcare lecturers and education advisers to ensure that your child receives the best standard of tuition possible, and aim to deliver this consistently, and at an extremely reasonable price.

Projects at the Academy are second to none! The most exciting event planned for next year involves over 1000 children, who will have the opportunity to record an original pop single written by Emma, make an accompanying music video and perform at a live launch in front of the country's finest press, all for charity. We take our community/charity responsibilities very seriously, and so far this year have raised more than ?2100 for Cancer Research UK, and the Langstone Village Hall Trust. We aim to help out as many good causes as we possibly can, and enjoy being in a position to give something back!

Finally, and most importantly, performing arts tuition at the Academy is FUN! We aim to keep pupils on their toes with exciting, and unusual, projects like the one described above. With our younger pupils, we incorporate the Government's 'Learning Through Play' guidelines for early years education. We understand that your child's development comes first. We also offer one Academy scholarship and three bursaries per calendar year to encourage personal development.
