Even though I'm originally from Newcastle, I've never had any great interest in the sport. Despite the peer pressure (which continues to this day!) I could be described as a fair weather support at best.

Given Newcastle's recent turmoil, safe to say my interest has been minimal.:(

I find it is a pleasant way of passing a Saturday afternoon , catch up with a few friends and then back to reality

Well after 'Survival Sunday' I think it will be a long time before I watch a Newcastle match again.

As said, not my sport, but a sad day for the North East. Let's hope the fans remain loyal in Newcastle's time of need. Last thing they need right now is to see gate number dropping off.
